New from Carolina Moore

Doodle your own quilt blocks using the Quilt Doodle Pad! This 4″ x 6″ notepad is designed with quilt block doodles in mind, and with 50 sheets per pad, you can make a lot of doodles!

Design both simple and complex quilt blocks with this fun notepad. Each page has a quilt block grid for designing 12″ finished quilt blocks. With lines representing inch-wide segments, as well as half-inch segments, you can easily draw and color in your own quilt blocks.

The reference dots make it easy to design blocks without having to count individual squares. Find the center of your quilt block with the pink dot, use the light blue dots to easily make a 9-patch with 4″ segments, and use the teal dots to measure 3″ in from each side for sixteen patches and uneven nine patches. The included directions will guide you through writing your cutting instructions.

Use the back of each sheet for additional notes. Each notepad measures 4″ x 6″ and contains 50 sheets. Grid is designed for drawing 12″ finished quilt blocks. These pads are due to arrive the beginning of November and would make great stpcking stuffers!

This English Paper Pieced Tree Skirt is beautifully hand-pieced using the traditional EPP method. Instructions for glue basting, sewing, and adding a facing are included in the pattern.
An EPP-facing method is used to finish the edges of the tree skirt, keeping the scallop-like edge without needing to bind non-right angles. Instructions are also provided for trimming the edges so that the tree skirt can be bound traditionally.

For those of you who are not familiar with Scrap Tape: The best thing about scrap tape is that it stabilizes the grain line-making all your scraps usable and your strips nice and straight. Make unique 2-1/2″ strips using fabric scraps. Construct with a stitch and flip method, then trim to size. Scrap Tape washes away with water when your project is complete.

Are you ready for all the summer BBQs and picnics? Your hot dish will take center stage when presented in this Americana Casserole Hot Pad!

Americana Casserole Hot Pad

This stars-and-stripes motif is created using the Creative Grids® Strippy Stars tool (CGRDH2) by Deb Heatherly. This pattern uses the Casserole Dish Hot Pad Pre-Cut Batting and Insulating material (TGQ104), which has two layers of batting and polyester and metalized layer to help keep your hot dish hot. It perfectly fits a standard 9 by 13 inch casserole dish. With just three fabrics, this pattern would be simple to kit with a red, white, and blue fabric from your shop’s color wall. But, why not kit it in Fall and Winter holiday colors as well? After all, stars are always in season and these would make great hostess gifts. A great class option. Students can learn how to use the Strippy Star Tool and actually finish the project in class!

These 2 for 1 plate cozies are darling and simple to make! They feature the Pre-Cut Plate Cozy batting from The Gypsy Quilter® (TGQ102) which is microwave safe, with fun piecing using the Creative Grids® Kitty Cornered Ruler (CGRDH5) by Deb Heatherly.

2 For 1 Plate Cozy

The pattern is written so that two plate cozies can be made with two contrasting half-yard-cuts of fabric. Since you can make four plate cozies from one package of pre-cut batting, you may want to double your fun, or in this case quadruple the fun , by buying four half yard cuts of fabric. Students could easily finish a set of these in class AND learn how to use the Kitty Cornered Tool. We all love instant gratification.
