Nine Carat Quilt by Sarah Fulks

All you need is ten fat quarters and a favorite background fabric to create this stunning quilt. It is easier than you think! Piece large nine-patches together. The magic happens when you sub-cut them and sew them back together in a different configuration.

The instructions are written for an over-sized throw but you can add or delete blocks to make the quilt of your dreams. You may even learn a new technique along the way.

Purr-sonality by Deb Heatherly

Just five 10-inch and five 5-inch squares are needed to make the blocks in this quilt. What a great way to learn how to use the Creative Grids Cat’s Cradle Tool. The blocks are created with squares and rectangles and then trimmed to size. The trimming creates the triangles, it’s magic!

Applique a cat in the corner or use holiday themed fabric and applique leaves, holly, snowflakes, pumpkins…the possibilities are endless. You won’t be able to just make one! The Cat’s Cradle Tool is required to make the pattern.

Flexible Floe Runner by Jill Blair

Flexible Floe Runner is made from one charm pack or (36) 5″ squares. The cover runner features neutrals for a modern look. But I would love to see it in holiday fabrics. Pumpkins or snowflakes anyone?

This is the perfect group or beginner project. Since the blocks are all trimmed to the same size AFTER the angled seams are sewn, all the blocks are the same size. A little fudge factor built into a project is always a good thing! The Creative Grids Straight Out Of Line Tool is required.

The Creative Grids 4-1/2 inch square and the Folded Corner Clipper are recommended.

This 39″ square is all pieced and would make a great wall hanging or table topper. Who can resist the pumpkin vine sashings?

Spooky Patch is a 33-1/2″ by 35-3/4″ pieced wall hanging or table topper. What a great backdrop to that bowl of treats!

Autumn Blooms is a perfect adaptation of coneflowers. The flower pots are made in two sizes to add dimension and depth to the quilt. At 49-3/4″ by 54″, this pieced quilt would be a great throw, or add borders or more blocks for a larger version.

One side of this adorable gathering basket will be perfect for the whole Autumn season… the other is ideal for Halloween decorating! Another tree-filled, quick & easy to cut & to sew quilt! No tricky seams. No fussy points, just fast chain piecing which can be sewn on your favorite little Featherweight sewing machine at retreats! This will make a perfect Christmas quilt, but any fabric collection would make it a daily quilt! Adding rustic fabrics will make it the perfect “guy” quilt & it’s plenty long too. Susan’s Mini Tree Template Set, SUZ486 is used to make the trees. Finished quilt size is 65.5 in. x 81.5 in.


This 20 in. x 20 in. quilt features more of Susan’s popular tiny trees & tiny Dresden plates! It uses SUZ216 & SUZ286, fabrics & notions. It will make a great winter class with lots of techniques to teach; Dresden plates, little trees, fusible web appliqué, quilting & binding. It can also be made into a fun pillow.


3 sizes of quilts are included in this one simple pattern. Susan’s Mini SUZ486 & Tiny Tree SUZ286 Template Sets make the cutting & sewing so accurate.
