Fall is my favorite season and Robin’s new patterns showcase the colors and shapes of Autumn to its fullest potential.

Starlit Bears quilt uses a Layer Cake of 10″ squares to make a festive bear paw quilt with twinkly star centers. Larger tabs, accentuated by an accent fabric show off big fabric prints. Use one fabric for background or mix it up with each quadrant in a different color. Size 60 1/2″ square. What a difference the background makes!

Oak Grove Square is a Fall Medallion Quilt using 12 Fat Quarters, accent yardage, and a mix of background colors. This 72 1/2″ square quilt is full of fall leaves, acorns, mushrooms, and stars. Keep it simple with one background or make every square ring a different color. Pattern is a large 8.5 x 11″ booklet of 16 pages, arranged in sections to be suitable for a sew-along.

Leaf Press is a wall/lap leaf sampler quilt with an assortment of leaves with a transitional modern feel. Delicate leaf stalks balance out stately oak leaves and groupings of simple aspen leaves. Berries dot the spaces for a little whimsical fun. Fat Eighth-friendly pattern with background and border. The pattern is written to be sewalong-friendly. Size 48.5 x 49.5″. 8.5 x 11″ booklet of 12 pages

New from Cut Loose Press®

Want to add a touch of class to your décor or make a gift in less than two hours? This set of placemats uses the pre-cut Bosal placemat forms as a base which adds the body and crisp shape to your creations.

The side pocket provides a place for silverware and a napkin – perfect for a windy day picnic. Wouldn’t these be the perfect hostess gift for a pool party or buffet? What a great addition to a make it/take it series of classes. Or include it in a mother/daughter class over summer break – a fun, easy project!

One pack of the placemat forms includes four placemats.

Since these placemat forms are fusible, an applique sheet is required. It protects your work surface from the fusible while working on one side.

Shindig fro Cut Loose Press® is made from 80 ten-inch squares. You can choose to use one pack of forty and use the same contrast fabric. Or use two packs and mix and match to your heart’s content! Picking the fabrics for each set of four blocks is half the fun.

This is the perfect group or beginner quilt. Since the blocks are all trimmed to the same size AFTER the angled seam is sewn, all the blocks are the same size. And since none of those angled seams meet, it goes together like a dream.

This pattern requires the Creative Grids® Straight Out Of Line Tool designed by Karla Alexander.

Create swirling wonky log cabin blocks simply by controlling the fabric placements. An added bonus? It also accentuates the wonkiness of the blocks. With just 3 fabrics, it is easy to kit and can be made in an afternoon. What a great class project!

This pattern The Wonky Waves Table Runner features the 10-inch Wonky Log Cabin Trim Tool by Creative Grids®. This one is designed to work with 2-1/2in strips for both the logs and center squares making it precut-friendly. After adding each round of logs, place the appropriate centering square on the ruler over the center square of the block and trim. Since each round is trimmed before adding the next one, your final trim squares up the block making it ready to be used in your project.

Everything is in stock and ready to order for your next class!

Thread Gloss with Style and Scent

These thread glosses come in 11 different scents. For instance, the Vacay Blend contains beeswax, coconut oil, and coconut essential oil, so it smells like a warm and sandy vacation.

Thread gloss is a specially formulated wax and oil blend that coats your thread to prevent tangles, fraying, and brittleness. Think of it as a deep conditioner for your thread and embroidery floss. Have you ever had to cut your thread short in the middle of your groove because there was a gnarly knot? Using thread gloss helps prevent tangles and knots, taking away all of the frustration of handwork.

Anytime that you’re dealing with cotton thread such as hand embroidery, hand quilting, cross-stitch, english paper piecing, or applique, give this product a try. Simply drag your thread across the gloss pot after threading your needle, applying slight pressure on the thread with your thumb, while pulling with your other hand.

American Jane: Melody of Tradition and Innovation with New Quilt Patterns

Get ready, quilters and fabric aficionados alike! American Jane’s new collection of quilt patterns is here, and it’s taking the quilting world by storm. With an innovative mix of the traditional and the avant-garde, American Jane’s latest offering includes “Do Re Mi,” “Musical Stairs,” “3D Pinwheels,” “Major Minor,” “Rotation,” and “Appli’ Jacks.”

The first pattern, Do Re Mi, showcases a delightful dance of musical notes and keys cascading across the canvas. The layout of blocks and color placement creates a visual representation of a beautiful melody, allowing the quilter to ‘sing’ with fabric and thread. It’s a perfect choice for music lovers or those who appreciate rhythm and movement in their designs.

Next, we have Musical Stairs. This pattern uniquely interprets the image of piano keys flowing upwards in a stair-like fashion. It brings an element of whimsy and dynamism that is sure to be a conversation starter. The contrast between light and dark fabrics gives it a three-dimensional look, creating a sensation of ascension. Musical Stairs is a lap-sized quilt that is fat eighth friendly.

3D Pinwheels is a unique setting for a unique block! This quilt is fat-quarter-friendly. 3D Pinwheels puts a twist on the classic pinwheel pattern, giving it a surprising three-dimensional effect. By carefully selecting and placing the fabrics, the pinwheels seem to pop off the quilt, spinning and twirling as if caught by a breeze. This pattern adds life and dimension to any room and is perfect for those looking for a more interactive and engaging quilt.

Major Minor is a lap-sized throw that can be made with a layer cake, background fabric, and sashings. In Major Minor, American Jane plays with scale and color to create a quilt that is at once harmonious and striking. Just as in music, the major and minor blocks interact to produce a quilt that is rich in visual interest and depth. The pattern also allows for individual interpretation, making each quilt a unique masterpiece.

Rotation is a sweet twist on a Dresden Plate quilt and is layer cake friendly. It plays with the concepts of motion and perspective. This pattern is a dizzying array of blocks turned at various angles, creating the illusion of perpetual motion. It’s a delightful visual puzzle that keeps the viewer’s eyes moving, tracing the blocks as they seem to rotate around the quilt.

Finally, Appli’ Jacks reinterprets the classic Applejack pattern with an applique approach, adding texture and depth to the design. Each apple is meticulously designed with an incredible level of detail. It’s an homage to tradition, yet reinvented with a fresh and modern touch. Appli’ Jacks is a layer cake-friendly quilt as well.

American Jane’s latest patterns offer a brilliant blend of old and new, and a touch of fun and sophistication that is characteristic of their brand. Each pattern is designed with careful thought, inviting quilters of all skill levels to create their own masterpieces. With these new patterns, every stitch will surely be a joyful journey of discovery.

So, pick up your needles, quilters. Let the rhythm of “Do Re Mi” inspire you, climb the “Musical Stairs,” spin the “3D Pinwheels,” play with “Major Minor,” join the “Rotation,” and savor the fruits of “Appli’ Jacks.” With American Jane, your quilting symphony awaits!
