Be Hoppy this Easter

Definition of Hoppy: To jump with joy, to bounce excitedly.

Easter is more than easter eggs, bunnies, and candy. It is a time to remember why we are all here. A time for joy and renewal and love. It is a time to be ‘Hoppy’! So, let’s be hoppy together with this collection of joyful Easter Bunny patterns that will renew your homes décor and fill your friends and family with love.

First, you will need some table runners to adorn your table or one of someone you love. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to gift one of these to the hostess of your Easter dinner? Poorhouse Quilt Designs Explores Stripes

Kristine Poor highlights striped prints in this table décor duo! Use beautiful floral stripes for a traditional look or cut different stripes from a desert stripe as shown on the front cover. Kitting is easy with just 4 fabrics. Placemats finish at 13″ x 19″; table runner finishes at 13″ x 42″. Create a class using stripes – first class focuses on cutting stripes; second class finishes with assembly and quilting ideas. Walking foot quilting is a great option for this project.

Hello Spring by Sandy Gervais

Sandy says these little birds have traveled a great distance to get back to their Spring home and they need a little rest. What better place to take a rest than on a fence among the flowers. The finished size is 23 X 67 inches. The project shown features her Hello Spring fabric line from Riley Blake Designs.

This table runner features 6 little peeps and is made using two 5″ Stackers. The finished size is15 x 42 inches.

This block of the month offers six different pieced designs as well as pinwheels. Any of the blocks would look great in an individual table runner design or as a pillow for the porch swing.

Sandy actually owns a wind farm so this pattern is the perfect reflection of her life. A Hello Spring fat quarter bundle will make the wind mills. Finished size: 99 X 99″ – a queen/king size.

Stunning Quilts by Quiltworx

These quilts and table runner are absolutely beautiful so I am going to let them tell you in their own words….

Mermaids Tale was designed by Judy and Brad Niemeyer and was built using blocks from the Cattail Mixer series, including the Shimmering Star block and the Star Shower border. It also includes a C border, which does not include any foundation paper piecing. These instructions are broken down by groups, referred to as Groups A, B, & C. Size 68 x 68.

Frozen Fountain includes four sections referred to as Groups A, B, C, and D. The A group is a diamond block referred to as the Ice Crystal Star, the B group squares up the diamonds and is referred to as Icicles, the C group is an on-point border group called Satin and Lace, and the D group square up the on-point design to create a 99-inch square queen size quilt. This pattern incorporates all of Quiltworx’s latest techniques as well.

The Spice Rack was designed as a beginner pattern to introduce quilters to paper piecing. The project is fast, uses only straight-lined foundation piecing and assembly, employs simple cutting techniques, and is an affordable and fun way to jump into your first paper piecing project. It is meant to make those new to the process find confidence, understanding and success. Size 75 x 97

The Prism Table Runner is a design inspired by an idea of Certified Instructor, Joanne Wearing, hoping for a table runner workshop that utilized the Prismatic Star block, which would be available for a one day workshop. Table Runners with A Modern Flare

What a great series of classes or online videos! Why not offer a table runner of the month instead of a block of the month? The designs are dramatic but simple so most of the work can be done in class. And, many of the runners offer opportunities to teach different techniques and tools.

The book is reasonably priced and most of the patterns require fat eighths so they are easy – and affordable to kit!

Wool in all its Beauty

Rebekah Smith has designed two wool mats that can add a spark of color to any decor. Folk Hearts has two options – both so charming you will want to make both!

This table runner is stunning in Fall colors but would be gorgeous in Spring colors as well. The shape adds that awe factor and highlights the design as well.

Summer is beginning and is the perfect time for a bit of handwork. Wool is the perfect choice for a take along project!
