Panels are the Star

Mimi Hollenbaugh of Bound to be Quilting has created stunning quilts that can be created in a day because panels are the star of the show! She surrounds them with quilt blocks that accentuate the theme.

Nautilus Blocks (waves) surround this panel from the Welcome to the Beach collection from Timeless Treasures and finishes at 55″ x 71″. Both pattern and panel are due to arrive in January.

Butterfly blocks surround this Forest Magic panel from Timeless Treasures – both due to arrive in January/February.

This sample is made with the I Love My Dog collection from Timeless Treasures. It is expected to arrive in January/February.

Why not make a socially distanced face mask quilt! The arrows remind you to stay 6 feet away. The “I’m Actually Smiling” by Timeless Treasures and “Masquerade” by Dear Stella mask panels can be used to create a memory quilt with autographs, messages, used masks, t-shirt logos, or whatever other options you can come up with in place of the 5″ x 8″ mask panels. The Gnomes Have It!

These Holly Jolly Gnomes designed by The Whole Country Caboodle are simply adorable! The pattern features four different gnomes: Reindeer Gnome, Snowflake Gnome, Santa Gnome, and Papa Gnome. With names like that, they could move right in with the Smurfs and feel right at home!

The booklet includes instructions for a mug rug, pillow, pillow wrap, and canister wrap. Many feature homespun towels as a base.

I can already see these as the basis of gifts for next year. Why not start a holiday club in January? Feature projects like this that make great gifts for everyone on your list – including the pets! Can’t you just picture a canister filled with cat or dog treats wrapped with a reindeer gnome? Decorated kitchen towels for hostess gifts? Mug rugs for the folks at work? Cuddle 2 Yard Cuts

This is brilliant! You can now order a multitude of fun 58/60 inch cuddle prints in 2-yard cuts! These will be arriving in June. Here is just a sampling of the variety Shannon Fabrics has available:

I put this on the back of almost all of my throws – my kids and grandkids fight over them! But, do the math! If I have a throw that measures 54″ x 66″, I would have to pieced the back and even if I ieced it horizontally, it would take about 3 1/2 yards of fabric. At $12 a yard, that would cost $42. Since Cuddle is 60 inches wide, the back would not have to be pieced AND would retail for under $40….and it FEELS SO GOOD!!!

And now you can offer more choices without having to store over-sized bolts and having the fussies from cutting! Think about what kits you have and what classes you are teaching and order them now! By the time your customers finish the tops, the backings will be in stock!
