Bluegrass Charm by Melissa Mortenson

The Bluegrass Sampler Quilt pattern is a fat quarter friendly quilt pattern featuring a variety of horse, barn, and equestrian quilt blocks inspired by the bluegrass fields of Kentucky. It compliments the Bluegrass Charm fabric collection by Melissa Mortenson for Riley Blake Designs.

The Bluegrass Crossing quilt is a fat quarter friendly, traditional quilt pattern inspired by vintage goose tracks quilt blocks.

The Bluegrass Pastures quilt pattern is a fat quarter friendly quilt pattern featuring horse quilt blocks and traditional horse fencing. The horse quilt blocks are raw edge appliquéd and the horse fence blocks can be pieced traditionally or using foundation paper piecing.

This traditional quilt pattern is perfect for any level quilter! The finished quilt size is 60-½” x 53-½”. The unfinished block size is 8-½” x 14-½”.


This pieced quilt pattern features the gorgeous Dahlia fabric collection by Edyta Sitar for Andover. Perfect for any level quilter! The finished quilt size is 63-½” X 63-½”.


The Pennsylvania – Dahlia pattern is for any level quilter. The finished quilt size is 54″ x 54″.

The acrylic templates for cutting and sewing the shapes for the Laundry Basket Quilt pattern – Dahlia Star, are sold separately. Templates are marked with a ¼” seam allowance for easy marking and matching of pieces.

Beach House is a traditional pieced pattern. This beautiful quilt looks wonderful in any color combination. The finished quilt size is 48-½” x 54-½”. Finished blocks are 12″ and 6″.

This new seven month block of the month program by Leslie Ryan of Blooming Boldly is simply stunning! I usually don’t write about something that isn’t coming out until summer, but this one has deadline dates for preordering.

I fell in love with this line of batiks as well from Riley Blake Designs, Polka Pop Collection. It is available as individual bolts, an 8-yard case pack, pre-cuts, and coordinated bundles of fat quarters. I chose to share the fat quarter bundles so you could see a thumbprint of each fabric.

Summerhaven Sampler is a twelve-month block-of-the-month project featuring an abundance of cross-stitch-inspired blocks to create your very own flower-filled summer garden! Each block features Shelley’s signature stitch-and-flip construction techniques for a truly stunning sampler quilt made simple.

This project is best suited for confident beginner quilters and feature prints from designer Shelley Cavanna’s Among the Wildflowers I collection with Benartex Fabrics.

Dainty stars and sweet-as-pie gingham checks come together in this stunning, picnic-perfect quilt made simple!

The celestially-inspired Celestine quilt gives the appearance of curved pieces and complex inset or y-seams, but in truth: it’s put together using four simple, straight-edged blocks!
