Crazy Trees

I love this!  In fact, I love this so much that I am teaching it this weekend!

This is a Karla Alexander design – and is SO her! A little wacky, a little wonky, and a whole lot of fun! This combines every aspect of a great pattern:

  • It looks hard but is so easy and so forgiving – anyone can do it!
  • It takes just eight 10 inch squares and eight 11″ x 14″ rectangles of background so it is easy to kit.
  • It makes a great demo.
  • AND, it is a Cut Loose Press™ pattern so it is affordable. Crazy Christmas Trees #CLPKAL009

It uses her ruler. Creative Grids® Spider Web Quilt Ruler #CGRKA6

Saturday I am making this in Fall colors – but kitting it for Christmas as well. After all, who can stop at just one! An added bonus? This runner is 17 1/2″ x 40 1/2″ so if I make four of these, I have a great throw!

Great size, Great gift

These newest additions to the Fabric Confetti table runner line are just darling!

They remind me of the counted cross stitch samplers that were so popular years ago.  Who would have thought now you can make them in a matter of minutes!  They all require a hoop with an embroidery field of at least 5 3/4 x 10″.

Visit our website to see the entire collection.  What great hostess gifts!

Table Runners for Every Table

When a book is already in the top 100 – and isn’t due to be released until August, I take notice….and so should you!

Sherri Falls of This and That has created 20 table runners showcasing a variety of techniques.

This book would be a great basis of a series of classes.  Kit and create a table runner each month and demonstrate the featured techniques.  Order it now so you will receive the first shipment.  This one is already a hit – and less than $20, it is a bargain!

Snow is in the Forecast

Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings is releasing a line of “snow” patterns next month – just in time for your Christmas in July events!

The vintage cars remind me of Christmases past.

And who could resist these guys!  They are just full of personality!

Most of the patterns take only a few evenings so there is plenty of time for your customers to make them for everyone on their Christmas list!  Check out all of the Primitive Gatherings patterns and set up a display. Don’t forget the pearl cottons and wools!

Kim Diehl’s Harvest

This is short and sweet!  Kim Diehl is one of my favorite designers – but I am not alone!  Her newest book is not due out until October – but it is already in the top 20!  Now THAT is a super star!

If you want this book – without having to wait for the second printing – order it now so our buyers can place their initial order!  I can’t show you anything inside except to say that there are 19 projects based on Kim’ favorite season.  Decorating ideas and recipes are included!

New Patterns by Buttermilk Basin

Stacy West is introducing several new patterns this month.  And based on past performance, these designs will fly off the shelves!  Her vintage truck went to pick up the Christmas tree and became a top selling pattern.  Now it is at the pumpkin patch!

Don’t you love the scalloped trim on these towels?  Whether you display them as towels or add the appliques on both ends to make a table runner, they will become the focal point of your kitchen!  The Fall versions of her successful Joy and Wool are due in this month.

Easter Should be on your radar

These wooden eggs in three sizes – and two colorways by The Bee Company will be arriving next month.

These eggs can be purchased individually or come with a pattern for a cross stitch banner.

But my first thought?  Wouldn’t these be an adorable way to personalize Easter baskets?  Machine embroidery instead of cross stitch would be darling – and give you the opportunity to showcase features of your sewing machines!  Carry Silhouette machines?  Design your own with that machine as well!  Think outside the box and your customers will make ALL variations!  What darling decorations for an Easter tree!

Kitted Mug Rugs are Full of Charm

I love these mug rugs by Stitches of Love Quilting!  They come two ways – buy the individual patterns OR buy the kits which include pre-cut fused fabric and everything you need to make it – including backing, binding and embellishments.  The kits are priced at under $20!

Now picture the kits and patterns with a sample of each hanging on your wall for your next shop hop!  Display a different one at the register each month. The kits include the pattern so your customers can make more than one – and they WILL make more than one – so be sure to include some appropriate fat quarters and embellishments in the display.

Each mug rug measures 5 1/2 x 7 inches so they are also easy to mail. Everyone has someone who could use a pick me up.  Can you imagine getting one of these each month? Or make several and save them for gifts. They are that perfect little something…

Christmas Ornament Crafts!

One of the hits of Market was the new Star ornament pattern by Poorhouse Designs – just in time for a Make and Take for your holiday events.

PQD-215

Holiday Stars includes instructions to make this star in sizes from five to twelve inches.  It keeps its shape thanks a craft weight fusible such as Dura Fuse or Decor Bond.  Wouldn’t these be gorgeous favors for a holiday party?  Can’t you just picture them in the center of each plate?  Talk about making a statement!

Be sure to have – and demo – her Fold n Stitch Ornament as well:

The square and round mug rugs – or the combination pack – provide the body in these beauties.
