Poe Would Be Proud

I love everything by Blackbird Designs and their whimsical take on the harvest season is no exception. This nine block applique quilt would be a great block of the month – or two blocks a month if your customers want to have it done by Fall.

Applique is the perfect portable summer project. Why not display the book with appropriate fabrics – and don’t forget the embroidery threads. Make a statement by letting your customers know that you are a one stop shop!

Bertie’s Summer has Arrived

As of today, ALL of the patterns are in stock – which is a miracle considering the popularity of everything by Bonnie! These are so cute, no one will be able to resist.

The Witches of Salem have Arrived

In this third of a four part series (#CAH347), the Salem Guild Meeting is in session! This is the last of the embroidery panels so your customers can have all of them completed before the finishing pattern is released!
All three embroidery panels measure 15″ x 42″. With the addition of the pieced blocks included in the final pattern in the series being released later this year, the final quilt will measure 57″ x 72″.
Be sure to have the recommended Cosmos thread on hand. For ease of ordering, they are all listed as companions to each pattern on the Checker website.

Order the first two patterns (#CAH345 and #CAH346) so those shop hoppers can buy the collection – and offer the flosses required as a kit as well. You know they like one stop shopping!

Meet the Newest Member of the Creative Grids® Family

Drum roll please…… It’s Sew Emma designed their first Creative Grids® ruler! This Starburst 30° Triangle ruler #CGRISE30 can be used for all of the traditional fan and Dresden Plate blocks. (Cut and sew together twelve units to create a kaleidoscope; six to create a half Dresden; or three to create a fan.) BUT, check out the angled A and B lines on the ruler. These lines are used to add that “awe” factor to your favorite kaleidoscope style blocks! Place them on the seam of a strip set and magic happens. A whole new world of pinwheels is born. Wouldn’t these be great hanging on a wall??? They are 40″ wide so the backing does not have to be pieced. They are 12″ wide so they are really reasonable to kit. Many include button packs that add the awe factor.

Display them on a wall with the kits below them. The kits – including pattern – will be very reasonable. Why not take it a step further and offer it as a BOM mailing program? We are entering travel season so visitors can sign up to receive a kit a month in their mailbox! How fun is that???
