I love Terry’s designs as much as her descriptions: Less hip movement and more strip movement! Scraps and strips will dance together inside the built-in border. Now THAT is a perfect description for a class!
This design can be made with charm squares for a scrappy look. Choose strips or fat eighths for a controlled look as shown on the back cover. Or make two placemats instead of a table runner.
This would be a great beginner class – and is so easy to kit! A charm pack and a yard of fabric will make two! These patterns are due to arrive the middle of April so order them now!
Kristine Poor of Poorhouse Quilt Designs is an expert on interfacings. Her latest series of oven mitts supports a heat resistant Bosal product that withstands heat up to 450 degrees.
The oven mitts are pre-cut. One package makes a mitt.
Why not start a series of classes on different interfacings? Since it only takes two fat quarters and a package of the lining, it is easy to prep for a class. Kris has a variety of patterns that make great Make It/Take It classes – feature a different product in each class!
All of these items are due to arrive the middle of next month so place your orders now!
These new patterns by Erin Underwood Quilts are a great way to showcase those fabrics or panels that are just too pretty to cut up! You bought the fabric because you loved it, so why not showcase it in one of these quilts?
Shadow Play is a generous throw at 69″ x 68″. Highlight your favorite fabrics or fussy cut panels to create themed vignettes in this stunning quilt.
Showcase is another option and goes together very quickly
Or Stupendous Strips may be a better option – a great way to accent those border prints. This pattern includes instructions for a baby size as well.
Pompous Panels is a generous 73 inches square. It is the perfect for those panels that need a little bling! Or highlight your favorite applique blocks or fun fabric! A little paper-piecing for the Mariner’s Compass accentuates the circle of blocks nicely.
Want the perfect wall hanging to accent the Mariner’s Compass aspect of the quilt? GPS is just the ticket, measuring 39″ square.
Diamond Peacock quilt uses the Creative Grids 15-degree Triangle Ruler (CGREU1) in combination with paper piecing to create the stunning diamond spray of a peacocks tail.
Show off your love of the majestic Bald Eagle with this stunning wall hanging! Machine applique and a little paper piecing bring this bird to life!

This notion created by Cluck Cluck Sew is flying off the shelves and we just got in another order so it is in stock!!!
I was teaching a class on Saturday and someone thought that you put this on the diagonal of the fabric – not true! It sticks to your sewing machine – right in front of the feed dogs. The red line aligns with your needle, the blue lines are the sewing lines – 1/4″ away from the red line.
A roll is 10 yards – and since you just need a small piece – it lasts a good long time! When you are ready to remove it, it comes right off – no pesky residue!
Half-square triangles have never been easier – no more drawing lines. But remember, this works just as well when sewing snowball blocks! I can’t wait to try it when I am making my Geese in the Cabin blocks – a Cut Loose Press™ Plus pattern (#CLPPLUS001)!
Adding those triangles to the corners just got a whole lot easier! This pattern showcases the Creative Grids® Log Cabin Trim Tool for 10-inch blocks (#CGRJAW10).
The Gypsy Quilter® Clappers are made of oak and made in the USA! Press a seam using steam and place the clapper over the seam for a few seconds to set the seam. Remove the clapper and you will have a flat, crisp seam. It comes in two sizes: 1-1/2 inches long, 3 inches wide tapering down to 2-1/2 inches and is 1-1/2 inches thick.
And the smaller size: 1-3/4 inches tapering down to 1-1/4 inches, Length is 7-3/4 inches.
When pressing units that have been chain-pieced, simply place the clapper on the seam just pressed while you are pressing the next seam. Set up your own little assembly line for perfectly flat seams every time.
An added bonus? When I am sub-cutting strips, I stack 2 – 8 at a time and place the clapper on the strips. The weight of the clapper stops the strips from shifting when sub-cutting. As you work your way down the strips, simply move the clapper as you cut! Don’t you love it when a notion has multiple uses?

Wonderfil has created the perfect thread stand. This lightweight and portable all-in-one thread stand is designed to create vertical drawing, eliminating tension changes and preventing slippery thread from unreeling, which happens when thread is drawn horizontally.
The stand also comes with a detachable perpendicular drawing feature ideal for small sized spools. The Thread Tamer is able to fit any sized spool of thread and is capable of holding up to three spools in place for couching and cording so as to prevent any undesired tangling. Keep this handy little stand beside your machine to make sewing a breeze!
We all know that thread is cheaper when you buy the big spools – now we can save money AND eliminate tension issues! These are due to arrive this month so place your orders now!
